S2 Security Corporation Announces OEM Agreement With International Electronics, Inc.

IEI to Offer S2 NetBox^™ Integrated Security Management Network Appliance Through its 1000-Member Dealer Network

WELLESLEY, Mass. – August 10, 2004 – S2 Security Corporation (S2) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with International Electronics, Inc. (IEI) (NASDAQ: IEIB) to resell a private-labeled version of its S2 NetBox product through the IEI dealer channel.  IEI will introduce its new product, the eMerge^™ 5000 Security Platform, at the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) 50^th Annual Seminar and Exhibits to be held at the Dallas Convention Center, September 27^th – 30^th.

Based on the S2 NetBox, the eMerge 5000 Security Platform represents a major market growth opportunity for IEI’s 1000-member dealer network by extending their product line to include an integrated physical security management system that delivers access control, alarm monitoring, video monitoring, temperature monitoring, and intercom capability — all in one box. 

An advance over existing systems, the S2 NetBox utilizes a new system architecture that moves advanced physical security capabilities to the network edge and eliminates the need for a PC server.  This architecture makes it possible to deploy systems of various sizes that scale from single facilities to multi-site organizations.
