The Products: S2 develops and markets a family of network appliance products that manage all aspects of a commercial buildings physical access control, alarm monitoring, and video security infrastructure. S2s products employ an extremely graphical Web UI and carry an on-board Help and technical document system.
Opportunity: S2 Security is seeking a principal level Software QA Engineer, to join the QA team. This role is to participate in the software development process through the development of test plans/test cases, manual and automated testing, and managing issues. The QA Engineer will work closely with Program Management, Software Development, and the QA Team to ensure a high quality product is consistently delivered in the most efficient manner.
Strong candidates will have a demonstrable record of achievement with enterprise level applications, with 8+ years of experience in software test. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of test methods and methodology. This is a role for a strong individual contributor looking to make an impact and be a leader in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the QA efforts for the entire suite of S2 Security’s product range via manual and automated testing.
- Work independently and a part of a team to achieve test goals. Mentor junior team members as appropriate.
- Analyzing and understanding project requirements to determine efficient test strategies; write update, and review test plans.
- Analyze complex issues solving problems and identify defects, accurately providing status and feedback to management.
Requirements:
- Experience testing enterprise applications with both strong skills in both manual and automated techniques.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- Proficient working with test process, testing techniques, and software test tools
- Basic understanding of networking.
- Experience with test automation tools, embedded Linux, and video servers are all plusses.
- BS in Computer Science or related field, with 8+of experience.
