September 2009: The first result of the collaboration between S2 Security and Assa Abloy’s SARGENT division will be one of the new product releases S2 will make at ASIS 2009 in Anaheim, the industry’s largest domestic trade event.  The release of support for the SARGENT v.S2 locksets follows the announcement earlier this year of joint efforts of the two companies.

Beginning with build 371, S2 NetBox and S2 Enterprise will support management of wireless networks of SARGENT v.S2 locksets.  System administrators can manage scaled networks of remote locksets with the NetBox or Enterprise, including the recently announced S2 NetBox Extreme.  The integration handles all aspects of programming the locksets and receiving historical data as well as alarms from them. 

Because the integration is complete, users can freely mix wired and wireless access control devices without having to program duplicate data.  The S2 database holds all necessary information and the S2 software maintains historical data archives.
