That means the PACS is accessible only from that particular PC or laptop. “With S2, you don’t have that issue,” he said. “Basically, it’s a download via web browser. I don’t have to upgrade client machines or software.”

S2 Security expands sales region/team

S2 Security on April 20 announced as a result of record sales for 2009 the company was expanding its sales program into Canada and adding industry veteran Damien Landry to lead the newly created sales region.

Since the company’s founding, S2 Security has re-invested one hundred percent of its profits back into the company. As a result, S2 has been able to continually expand its sales and support teams to keep up with growing customer demand.

S2 now integrates with Mercury access panels

Moss added that the ability to integrate Mercury panels with S2’s products also allows for some companies to invest in solid-state access control systems, which have a higher mean time between failure. One of the products that S2 has offered is a system called the S2 Netbox. It’s designed for small and mid-sized organizations, where the access control “server” is fully solid state - meaning no moving parts like fans or spinning hard drives to fail.
