Getting Back to Better than Normal


With 2020 behind us, it’s a good time to reflect on what we’ve been able to accomplish together despite the challenging circumstances

March marks one year since our lives changed. With 2020 behind us, it’s a good time to reflect on what we’ve been able to accomplish together despite the challenging circumstances. In many ways, it’s been a year of opportunities, from adjusting to new ways of doing business, to launching new products and services, to strengthening relationships. I am deeply grateful for the adaptability and resilience shown by the LenelS2 team and by you, our community of value-added resellers, end users, consultants and technology partners. Thank you.

We have a lot planned for this year, including expanding our core product offerings, growing services and accelerating our digital transformation with the cloud, IoT and emerging technologies. At the same time, we will continue to focus on providing you with the best possible support through our sales, technical and services teams.

From a product standpoint, we kicked off this year with a major release, OnGuard® software version 8.0. This release not only continues the migration of OnGuard clients to the browser but also delivers on the promise of a modern, unified user interface for access control, video surveillance, event monitoring, maps, multimedia, live internet feeds and more – the LenelS2™ Magic Monitor® client. While NetBox™ users have enjoyed the Magic Monitor experience for some time, we are thrilled to now make it available to OnGuard users. As always, we welcome your feedback.

After a great year for BlueDiamond™ mobile credentials and readers, we look forward to rolling out new features and services that support return to work compliance beyond touchless access to include anonymized contact notifications and social distancing reminders. And for those who plan to migrate to mobile credentials in the future, cost-effective BlueDiamond mobile-ready readers support a wide range of physical credentials and can be easily upgraded over time.

Our Custom Solutions team has been busy developing new features and integrations to help employers keep employees safe, among them pre-entry screening and assessments, occupancy management, event management and notifications. These solutions, along with BlueDiamond mobile credentials and readers, are part of the Carrier Healthy Buildings Program.

We are streamlining our Technical Support experience for OnGuard ecosystem users by automating processes and making it easier to track and respond to support tickets. We will also be rolling out a Customer Community portal on Partner Center in the next couple of months.

For now, we continue to participate in events virtually, as well as develop new webinars. Our Discover Webinar Series offers topics on demand, allowing you to listen at your convenience if you miss a scheduled event. A focused webinar series dedicated to consultants, led by Eric Joseph and his team, will soon launch. And in the latter half of this year, we hope to see you in person at some events.
