The LenelS2 journey begins now
October 2 was a big day, as it was the start of Lenel and S2 Security coming together as one combined business. We are now LenelS2, and our journey begins together embracing the same principles that both businesses have delivered on over the past decade – innovation, service, and offering unified access and video-centric solutions that provide customers choice.
With over 50,000 systems installed globally as well as some of the most talented engineers and sales associates working together, we are now positioned better than ever for continued growth, by delivering innovative solutions with a continued commitment to provide exemplary service to our customers.
I am humbled to lead this new business that is filled with so much talent and extremely excited about our future as this combination is truly greater than the sum of the parts.
Since the announcement of LenelS2, I’ve been hearing questions from customers and partners, so I wanted to take this opportunity to openly answer some of them.
The new company logo, featured on the cover of this issue, resulted from discussion and input gathering from many stakeholders throughout the businesses. The new logo represents a balance between the previous Lenel and S2 logos both in color and design, and also reflects an updated look and feel as we face toward the future.
The current Lenel and S2 product lines will continue to have a place in the roadmap. With John Moss as Chief Product Officer of LenelS2, the Lenel and S2 Engineering teams are busy collaborating on the roadmap as well as product integration projects that will soon provide customers with more choices. We have already made significant progress in understanding the technology needed to bring Lenel’s OnGuard into S2 Magic Monitor and BlueDiamond into S2 NetBox, and are excited about helping customers solve security problems with these soon to be released integrated solutions.
The Lenel and S2 businesses have grown significantly with our channel partners over the years, and we look forward to continuing that growth together. Overall, the feedback from partners has been very positive, as many carry both product lines today. Understandably, partners are looking for more details concerning what the changes mean for their businesses and whether they now have access to both product lines. For now, nothing changes. We are working as fast as we can to evaluate the combined channel and are committed to providing additional guidance by the end of the year.
We expect the integration process to take 12 to 18 months and be seamless for customers. LenelS2 will maintain both its Pittsford, New York and Framingham, Massachusetts locations, as our combined business will harness the talented workforces from both companies. Your day-to-day points of contact will not change.
On behalf of the entire LenelS2 team, I want to thank you for your business and the opportunity to serve you. I am truly excited about where we will go together from here.
